Background

On May 14, 1796, Dr. Jenner was the first to take steps in inoculating against smallpox.  Thanks to those first steps of Dr. Jenner, others have come up with cures and immunizations against once-common diseases such as syphilis and typhoid.  From the battlefield when the U.S. Defense Department reported all armed forces would be vaccinated against anthrax to schools where children are sent home reminders about “flu season” with a school board suggestion to receive a vaccination everyone for some reason is immunized to help keep the human body healthy—starting from birth where a child is inoculated against approximately twelve different diseases ranging from Diphtheria to Polio.
