Abstract

Paranoid schizophrenia is a mental illness which affects a person’s normal functioning and causes to lose touch with reality. This research paper defines paranoid schizophrenia and examines its effects on a person. Furthermore, the author also discusses the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia and its possible treatment to enable a person to be able to lead a happy and healthy life.

Paranoid schizophrenia is one of the worst of mental illnesses, and it causes its victims to live in an unreal world. The victims of the disease start hearing voices (auditory hallucinations) and delusion i.e., they see things that are actually not present. They completely lose their sense of self and become dependent on other people due to malfunctioning of the brain. Unfortunately, there is still no cure for paranoid schizophrenia but the disease can be controlled through various medications (Schadler, 2004). The drugs that are often prescribed to the victims of schizophrenia are Navane, Risperdal,Seroquel, Zypreza…….
