Introduction
All kinds of drugs can be addictive-this includes both caffeine and prescription drugs. Drug abuse is one of the major health and social problem which affect both young people and adults. However, adolescents are at a greater risk of drug use and abuse. Adolescents between the age 12 to 17, an expected 1.1 million are in one way or the other dependent on illicit drugs, over Half of the country’s High School seniors have tried an illegal drug, and more than one30 5 have tried cocaine, inhalants, and heroin in addition to Marijuana. A large number of problems which are not caused by alcohol are caused by substances like Marijuana, Downers, Uppers, Hallucinogens, Narcotics and Inhalants, and steroids. These drugs influence both the brains and the bodies of the young abusers in different ways, creating warning signs of intoxication and misuse that are distinctive to each substance. (At health)
