As indicated above, Paul shows that faith should come first and then works follow. Christians believe that once an individual has faith and trusts in God, the God manifests himself through the individual by performing signs and miracles. These are considered to be the fruits of salvation.

Why did Paul believe in justification by faith and not by works?
In his teachings, Paul put emphasis on faith so as to ensure that Christians would not be confused to think that good deeds alone would earn them favor before God. Rather, having faith in God would help them to do great wonders and miracles. Paul believed that whatever is done purely by the flesh is doomed to fail.
