Introduction

The United Nations, General Assembly’s Declaration on the Rights of Disabled Persons affirms that disabled people should enjoy the same fundamental rights and freedoms as non-disabled people. It affirms that disabled people should have access to medical care, education and employment opportunities and those governments should promote social integration of the disabled into the society and should take measures to ensure the dignity of the disabled promote the ability to be self-reliant in the disabled (United Nations General Assembly).
