If English was declared as the official language, nobody’s private or business lives would be ruined. No day to day activity would be hampered if English was the official language. Today in the United States of America, various societies exist with people belonging to various cultures. In every state and in every city, we can find a German-town, China-town and even Greek-town. America is therefore considered to be a multicultural society. Along with the existence of various cultures and societies, there are many languages spoken there as well. Ever since the attacks on America on the 11th of September 2001 and militants taking action in Afghanistan, questions have been raised about the morality of the situation.
Many leaders, religious and political have defended America and its use of military force ever since the events which occurred in 2001. Outside the United States however, people talk about more about the using of military force as something which brings about social and economic inequalities. The war is not much spoken of.
Amongst the many inequalities which the people of America have to face, the most vital one is that of murderers. The people who were behind these attacks, the real murderers are still alive; the people who trained them are still alive and each and every one of them is determined on committing the acts again. However due to this, millions of people lose their lives, the people they love, the dreams and hopes which they have for themselves and for their families; all are lost when these murderers commit such horrendous acts.
In the 2001 attacks, more than 5000 people lost their lives, all due to an act of terrorism (CNN). Many others too continue to die due to what is known as bio-terrorism (Bio).
The people of America are more aware of this problem as they are the targets of violent acts. Thus, people outside the United States do not see this issue as being very important as they do not have to deal with it on a daily…
